Every year El Diario La Prensa recognize the achievements of twenty-five outstanding and influential Latinos in New York with the El Award. A lunch event takes place in a prestigious venue for recognition of the honorees. The newspaper also publish a special supplement available in print inside the paper’s Sunday edition of the following week as well at online.
The cover of the publication, printed in glossy paper, always presented a variation of the logo and the honorees. The first graphic shows an example of three different covers. The next graphic shows the inside pages, designed to present two of the honorees with a short bio. I decided to frame the bios inside the letters of the award (EL) as a subtle way to give prominence to the award. The centerfold (two examples show here) always featured and article about the importance of Latinos in United States.
