Mexicans are one of the fastest (if not the fastest one) growing segments of the population in New York. They posses a rich cultural heritage mix of indigenous, Spanish and French traditions reflected in their dances, typical dresses and cooking traditions.
Although Cinco de Mayo was become an important festivity in United States for Mexicans Americans, the Independence of Mexico is celebrated in September. In NYC is celebrated with a colorful parade.
That particular year the theme I chose for the independence celebration of all the Latin American countries were a colorful dancing main photo and a child at the top.
