Sandro de América, known as the Argentine Elvis, was a notable singer and actor. He is considered one of the first rock artists to sing in Spanish in Latin America. He edited 52 official records and sold millions of copies.

He was the first Latino singer to sing in the Madison Square Garden and sell out the venue five times during the 1970s. The concert was broadcast live from Madison Square Garden on April 1970, and marked the debut of a Latin American artist for a world audience. He also appeared a couple of times at The Ed Sullivan Show as well as with Domenico Modugno, The Doors and many others.

Sandro’s songs were re-recorded by international artists such us Shirley Bassey, Liza Minnelli, Burt Bracharah, Dalila, Shirley MacLaine, Toto Cutugno, Nancy Wilson, Mary Hopkin, Loredana Berte, Umberto Tozzi, Gilbert Bécaud, Milva and Julio Iglesias among others.

This Cover was published the day he passed away. I choose an old photo of him instead of a most recent one for this homage, as his millions of fans will love to remember him. His expression, clothes and attitude is portrayed here. The photo was in black and white and I realized that a subtle nostalgic selected colorization will work. The simple headline complements the overall effect.
