Latin Grammy honors works produced anywhere around the world that were recorded in either Spanish or Portuguese. Voting members live in various regions in the US and outside of the US in Latin America.
Recordings are first entered and reviewed to determine which awards they are eligible for. Following that nominating ballots are mailed to voting member of the academy. The votes are tabulated and the five recordings in each category with the most votes become the nominees. Final voting ballots are sent to voting members and the winners are determined.
As for that year was difficult to predict the winners, I portrayed some of the best nominees in a spinning roulette where any one of them can get the trophy showed in the foreground.
