Cafe Tacuba is a popular band from Mexico since the 90’s. Leading singer and guitar player Rubén Isacc Albarrán Ortega is portrayed here in absolute motion. His image is always changing as his nicknames: “Juan”, “Pinche Juan” (Fucking John), “Tachuela” (Tack), “Cosme”, “Masiosare”, “Anónimo” (Anonymous), “Nrü” , “Amparo Tonto Medardo In Lak’ech” or “At Medardo ILK”, “G3”, “Gallo Gasss” (Gasss Rooster), “Élfego Buendía”, “Rita Cantalagua”, “Sizu Yantra”, “Ixaya Mazatzin Tleyótl”, “Ixxi Xoo” and now “Cone Cahuitl”.
At this particular coming concert in New York, he was campaigned wearing white and a hat covering his face with two openings for the eyes as his trademark. His changing image always looks as it was totally conceived for a purpose, perhaps as a consequence of his bachelor’s degree in Design and Graphic Communication from UAM.
He is the band’s star and the star is clearly depicted here in the background among a different colorful shades that emphasized change and movement. The typography is mexican at its fullest in style and color.
